The third graders have been working with circuits along with their makeymakey project. To go along with some of our electricity experiments we added a little chemistry and lit up a pickle. We're still discussing why and how...and will have more to come.

The 5,6,7&8th graders have begun their water bottle greenhouse prototypes. They have developed a few different theories on how they'd like to construct the greenhouses and broke into groups. Each group will use a different method to make a small test greenhouse. After they are constructed we will test them to determine which method will work best.
The kindergarten groups wrapped up their marble runs this week! They did a great job of making their marble run slow instead of fast. Nice work Kinders! Our littlest junior kindergarten friends came for a visit in the STEM lab today to try out some of our STEM "toys". They were very proud of themselves when they could build cup towers using SIX cups!
The human Knot! Students untangled themselves from a human knot using physical and verbal team building skills. They got to work with both classmates and students from the other class. It was an awesome activity. |
