A group of National Honor Society students from Lake Orion High School helped this year at our annual STEAM Recycled Fashion Event. The event happened after school from 3:30-6:30. All the participants had a fabulous time.

Our middle school students are collaborating with STEM, Social Studies, Language Arts and Art to make a giant tree for their classroom which will tie into many areas of study this year. They helped imagine a design that Mr. Gamache was kind enough to build and bring for the students to begin working on. Students learned how to make their own paper mache paste and are learning the best techniques to using the medium. More to come as the project progresses... E.C.A. held our first swap meet in honor of Earth day. Students were invited to bring in some of their old things that they never use anymore to trade for other things (shoes that are too small, old toys, knick-knacks, etc.) Children were asked to bring in 1-5 parent approved items to trade with their peers for new treasures. This awesome event came to E.C.A. after Destination Imagination participants shared their wonderful experiences with a similar event during our recent tournament. |
