The 5th grade students are in the midst of their Engineer a Box project. It's fun to see the creative minds tackling the task!
A group of National Honor Society students from Lake Orion High School helped this year at our annual STEAM Recycled Fashion Event. The event happened after school from 3:30-6:30. All the participants had a fabulous time.
This week we moved from part one of our project to part two. In this task, the students research simple ways to mechanically move a figure, using links found here. Now they are creating the crank mechanism to manually move a figure. We are using paper plates, paper clips, pliers, scissors and tape for this part of the project. So far, everyone has a working crank. The students are very excited they have moving parts! Next time we will create a moving character.
